K’ah hlaa! Laugh!
The Hlḵ’yáan ḵ’úst’aan Frog Hatori is designed to be worn over a simple snug garment. Its function is to layer the Hlḵ’yáan ḵ’úst’aan Frog and its reflection over your landscape, creating an ephemeral dance within space and time.
The lapels are designed to create a column of equal space between them; long, lean, elegant. Wear this piece for coffee, to the beach or the opera. Light, washable and crease resistant, it is a perfect piece to take with you wherever you go. Choose one colour as your base colour and we will do the rest.
Hawíit, xyáahl hlaa! Come on, dance!

The story is captured in dye layers on a large piece of paper until a complete canvas is built: colour, dots, Hlḵ’yáan ḵ’úst’aan Frog. The blank hatori is laid out flat on the coloured dot painting which is then wrapped around the front and back to print as a continuous landscape. Contrast dots are inserted to add a splash of fun.
Once pinned in place and heat set, the hatori is unwrapped and the process is repeated with the screened image of Hlḵ’yáan ḵ’úst’aan Frog, folded over the top so it hops over your head from your back to your front.
The unwrapping of the hatori always feels like a birthday: anticipation, glee, wonder. The dyes on paper look nothing like the heat pressed results and there are always unexpected surprises. Imperfection is celebrated.
Our goal is to transmit the wonder of this story onto you; to the wonder of you. The Hlḵ’yáan ḵ’úst’aan Frog Hatori is nothing without you. Light, no-iron, wash by hand or machine. Crumple and go. Made from roll ends of polyester curtain material.
